CPWB127 - Details

  • The SAP error message CPWB127, which states "Validity window cannot be set as narrow as the key date," typically occurs in the context of SAP's Capacity Planning or Production Planning modules. This error indicates that the validity period you are trying to set for a particular planning object (like a production order, capacity, or resource) is too restrictive compared to the key date you are working with.

Cause: Key Date vs. Validity Window: The key date is the reference date for planning activities. If you attempt to set a validity window (the period during which a certain planning object is valid) that is narrower than the key date, SAP will throw this error. For example, if the key date is set to today, you cannot set a validity window that starts after today. Incorrect Date Settings: The dates you are entering for the validity window may not align with the key date. This
