Message type: E = Error
Message class: CONT_TOOLS - Message for BI Content Tools German
Message number: 113
Message text: BCT: &1 (&2) is newer in the A version than in the D version
Consistency checks have determined that the A version of the object is
newer than the D version.
This can cause problems in a Content development system.
The Content developer does not see the object version that is delivered
to the customer. The customer receives the D version of the object. The
Content developer does not see this in maintenance but sees the A
version instead.,,
When Content is reinstalled, the A version is overwritten with a D
version that could be incorrect.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
The BW system offers version comparison for some objects. Use version
comparison to try and determine which object version is correct. If
version comparison is not available, use the A version of the object to
decide whether the object is valid or not.
If the A version is the valid version, save and activate the object
again so that a new D version is written. A transport popup will appear
when you activate the object.
If the D version is the valid version, install the object from the
Content again in overwrite mode. To do this, contact the BI Content
team. It is not possible to install Content with the normal
authorization profile.

CONT_TOOLS113
- BCT: &1 (&2) is newer in the A version than in the D version ?The SAP error message CONT_TOOLS113 indicates a version mismatch between the A (development) version and the D (production) version of a particular object in the SAP system. This typically occurs during transport operations when the system detects that the object in the A version is newer than the one in the D version.
Cause:
- Version Mismatch: The object in the development system has been modified and is at a newer version than the one currently in the production system.
- Transport Issues: The transport request may not have been properly imported into the production system, or there may have been changes made directly in the production system that are not reflected in the development system.
- Concurrent Changes: Changes made in both the development and production environments can lead to conflicts if not managed properly.
Solution:
- Check Transport Request: Verify that the transport request containing the changes has been successfully imported into the production system. You can do this by checking the transport logs.
- Compare Versions: Use transaction SE80 or SE11 to compare the versions of the object in both the development and production systems. This will help you identify what changes have been made.
- Re-transport the Object: If the object in the development system is indeed newer and should be in production, you may need to re-transport the object. Ensure that the transport request is released and imported correctly.
- Manual Adjustment: If necessary, you may need to manually adjust the object in the production system to match the development version, but be cautious with this approach to avoid overwriting important changes.
- Consult Change Management: If your organization has a change management process, consult with the relevant team to ensure that all changes are documented and approved.
