  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: COM_PRODUCT_API - Messages for Product Interfaces

  • Message text: An RFC destination could not be determined for the upload

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The system tried to determine an RFC destination for the upload.
However, an RFC destination has not been defined in Customizing. To
perform an upload, at least one RFC destination must be defined.

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

You can define the technical attributes of an RFC destination using
    transaction SM59.
You can also assign RFC destinations to the object class MATERIAL using
transaction R3AC4. These RFC destinations are used to activate the BTE
(Business Transaction Event) interface in the relevant OLTP System,
which is accessed via the specified RFC destination. The BTE interface
enables a delta download to be performed for material master data from
an OLTP System to the CRM System. These RFC destinations are also used
    for the upload.
The RFC destinations assigned using transaction R3AC4 form a subset of
the RFC destinations defined using transaction SM59. If delta downloads
are not being performed, meaning that no entries have been assigned to
object class MATERIAL or that the <LS>Inactive</> indicator has been
set for the maintained entries, then the RFC destinations defined with
    transaction SM59 are used.
