  • What causes this issue?

    You have tried to change the data in an address and at the same time,
    enter address type "3" (contact person).

    System Response

    Changing address data for address type "3" is not possible, since such
    an address requires a relationship between a person and a company. This
    relationship must not necessarily be available when changing the
    address.

    How to fix this error?

    Change the address <ZH>without</> entering an address type or make the
    changes directly via the CAM interface.

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    If addresses are changed directly in the CAM interface, the change must
    be made by transferring address numbers (ADDR_NR and ADDR_NP) and
    address types (ADDR_TYPE) via function module CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN to
    partner processing.
    The address numbers for a changeable address including the address
    types can be determined via the function module
    COM_PARTNER_ADDR_TO_MAINTAIN.
