CNVOM_DEL_SCHED002
- Remaining tasks are going to start after work process available in &1 ?The SAP error message CNVOM_DEL_SCHED002 typically indicates that there are remaining tasks in a scheduled operation that cannot start because there are no available work processes. This situation often arises during data migration or conversion processes, particularly when using the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit or similar tools.
Cause:
- Insufficient Work Processes: The SAP system may not have enough work processes available to handle the current workload. This can happen if there are too many concurrent jobs running or if the system is under heavy load.
- Long-Running Jobs: If there are long-running jobs or processes that are consuming work processes, it can lead to a backlog of tasks waiting to be executed.
- Configuration Issues: The configuration of the SAP system may not be optimized for the current workload, leading to inefficient use of available resources.
Solution:
- Monitor Work Processes: Use transaction SM50 or SM66 to monitor the status of work processes. Identify any long-running or stuck processes that may be consuming resources.
- Terminate Unnecessary Jobs: If you find jobs that are not critical or are taking too long, consider terminating them to free up work processes.
- Increase Work Processes: If the system is consistently running out of work processes, consider increasing the number of work processes in the instance profile. This can be done by adjusting the parameters in the instance profile (e.g.,
rdisp/wp_no_dia
,rdisp/wp_no_btc
, etc.).- Schedule Jobs During Off-Peak Hours: If possible, schedule heavy jobs during off-peak hours to reduce contention for work processes.
- Check System Performance: Analyze the overall system performance to identify any bottlenecks. This may involve checking memory usage, CPU load, and disk I/O.
- Review Background Job Configuration: Ensure that background jobs are configured correctly and are not set to run too frequently, which can lead to resource contention.
