  • Show details Hide details
  • Table RBKP contains data and different number ranges were specified in
table T003R. For the affected tables, duplicate records may occur at
database level when the fiscal year is reset. To avoid this, all RB*
tables, table RKWA, and table RSEG are excluded from the conversion. You
must therefore check the number range related to 'Verification of
Invoices for Materials (RMRP)'. If you think that duplicates will not
occur and that the tables should participate in the conversion, contact
SAP for support by creating a support request using component CA-LT-CNV.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message CNVA_20000_ANALYSIS004 - Different number ranges were specified in T003R ?

The SAP error message CNVA_20000_ANALYSIS004 indicates that there is a discrepancy in the number ranges specified in the table T003R. This table is used to manage number ranges for various document types in SAP, and the error typically arises during data migration or system conversion processes, such as when using the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit or during system upgrades.

    Cause:

The error occurs when there are different number ranges defined for the same document type across different company codes or controlling areas. This inconsistency can lead to issues in data integrity and processing, as SAP expects uniformity in number ranges for specific document types.

    Solution:

To resolve this error, you can follow these steps:

      • Compare the number ranges across the different company codes or controlling areas. Identify any discrepancies in the number ranges assigned to the same document type.
    3. Standardize Number Ranges:

      • If you find inconsistencies, you will need to standardize the number ranges. This can involve:
        • Adjusting the number ranges in T003R to ensure that they are the same across the relevant company codes.
        • Creating new number ranges if necessary, ensuring that they do not overlap with existing ranges.
    4. Adjust Configuration:

      • If the number ranges are part of a configuration that is being migrated or converted, ensure that the configuration settings are consistent across all relevant areas.
    5. Testing:

      • After making the necessary adjustments, perform tests to ensure that the error no longer occurs and that the system behaves as expected.
    6. Documentation:

      • Document the changes made for future reference and to maintain a clear audit trail.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes:
