  • What causes this issue?

    <DS:TX.CNV_MBT_IMPLICIT_MERGE>Implicit merge</> into target credit
    control area &V1&.
If according to the mapping a credit control area is converted to a
credit control area that already exists, these two credit control areas
are merged. If the existing credit control area is not included in the
mapping, this is an <DS:TX.CNV_MBT_IMPLICIT_MERGE>implicit merge</>,
that is, a merge that is not defined directly (explicitly) in the
mapping, but follows implicitly from the mapping and the existing credit
    control area.
Example: Credit control area A is renamed into B (mapping: A -> B).
However credit control area B exists already and is not meant to be
changed into another credit control area. This would amount to an
implicit merge of A and B. For these implicit merges, the same checks as
    for explicit merges are required (mapping: A -> B; B -> B).
We require that all credit control areas are included in the mapping,
which are part of an identified implicit merge.

The SAP error message CNV_20212_CHECK055 typically occurs during data migration or conversion processes, particularly when using the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit or similar tools. This error indicates that there is an issue with the implicit merging of data into the target credit control area.

    Cause:

The error message CNV_20212_CHECK055 is generally caused by one of the following issues:

    1. Data Inconsistency: There may be inconsistencies in the data being migrated, such as duplicate entries or missing references that prevent the system from correctly merging the data into the target credit control area.

    2. Configuration Issues: The target credit control area may not be properly configured to accept the incoming data, or there may be restrictions in place that prevent the merging of certain records.

    3. Mapping Errors: There could be errors in the mapping of source data to target structures, leading to conflicts during the merge process.

    4. Missing Master Data: Required master data (like customer or vendor records) may be missing in the target system, which is necessary for the implicit merge to occur.

    Solution:

To resolve the error CNV_20212_CHECK055, you can take the following steps:

    3. Review Mapping: Double-check the mapping of fields from the source to the target. Ensure that all necessary fields are correctly mapped and that there are no discrepancies.

    4. Ensure Master Data Availability: Make sure that all required master data is present in the target system. If any master data is missing, it should be created or migrated before attempting the merge again.

    5. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to the specific migration process you are using. There may be specific guidelines or known issues that can provide additional context.

    6. Use Transaction Codes: Utilize relevant transaction codes (like SE11 for data dictionary, SE16 for table display) to investigate the underlying data and configurations.
