Message number: 583
Message text: Simulation of conversion of table &1
Table CESETS and CEFORMF contain report painter data (criteria behind
the rows/columns/General Data Selection).
Report painter definitions can (among others) contain G/L account
numbers (RACCT) or cost elements (KSTAR).
Due to the complexity of such reports the determination of the
organizational unit is not always possible. In such situations it might
not be possible to convert the field correctly.
A simulation of the conversion of table &V1& is done.
Check the following log entries belonging to the conversion simulation.
You can repeat the simulation of the conversion independent of
organizationl units. In this case you have to set the parameter
CNV_20100_CEFORMF_ORGINDEP to 'X'.
You can do this via transaction CNV_PARAMS for the active package. After
having set the parameter properly repeat this activity. By default this
parameter is set to space.
&ADDITIONAL_HINTS&
In case you have modified the parameter, but the last simulation did not
bring the desired result do not forget to reset the parameter according
to your needs as the actual parameter setting will be considered during
the conversion.
Reports should always be checked for logical consistency after the
conversion. This is particularly important if complex selection
characteristics are used.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

CNV_20100583
- Simulation of conversion of table &1 ?The SAP error message CNV_20100583 typically relates to issues encountered during the simulation of data conversion for a specific table in the context of a data migration or conversion project, often associated with SAP's Conversion and Migration tools.
Cause:
The error message CNV_20100583 indicates that there is a problem with the simulation of the conversion process for the specified table (&1). This could be due to several reasons, including:
- Data Inconsistencies: The data in the source table may not meet the expected format or constraints required for the conversion.
- Configuration Issues: There may be misconfigurations in the conversion settings or parameters that are causing the simulation to fail.
- Missing or Incorrect Mapping: The mapping between the source and target structures may not be correctly defined, leading to issues during the simulation.
- Technical Issues: There could be underlying technical issues, such as database locks, missing authorizations, or system performance problems.
Solution:
To resolve the CNV_20100583 error, you can take the following steps:
- Check the Logs: Review the detailed logs generated during the simulation process to identify specific issues or error messages that provide more context.
- Validate Data: Ensure that the data in the source table is clean and adheres to the expected formats and constraints. Look for any anomalies or inconsistencies.
- Review Configuration: Check the configuration settings for the conversion process. Ensure that all necessary parameters are correctly set.
- Mapping Verification: Verify that the mapping between the source and target structures is correctly defined and that all required fields are accounted for.
- Test with Smaller Data Sets: If possible, try running the simulation with a smaller subset of data to isolate the issue.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to the specific conversion project you are working on for any known issues or additional guidance.
- Seek Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to SAP support or consulting with a technical expert who specializes in data migration and conversion.
