CMS_COMMON004
- Enter text object and text ID in tables TTXOB and TTXID ?The SAP error message CMS_COMMON004 indicates that there is a problem related to text objects and text IDs in the SAP system. Specifically, it suggests that the system is unable to find the required text object and text ID in the tables TTXOB (Text Object) and TTXID (Text ID).
Cause:
- Missing Text Object or Text ID: The specified text object or text ID does not exist in the system. This can happen if the text has not been created or if it has been deleted.
- Incorrect Configuration: There may be a configuration issue where the text object or text ID is not properly defined or linked to the relevant application.
- Transport Issues: If the text objects and IDs were transported from one system to another (e.g., from development to production), there may have been issues during the transport process that caused the text to be missing.
- Authorization Issues: The user may not have the necessary authorizations to access the text objects or IDs.
Solution:
- Check Text Object and Text ID: Verify that the text object and text ID you are trying to use actually exist in the system. You can do this by checking the relevant tables (TTXOB and TTXID) directly or using transaction codes like SE11 (Data Dictionary) to look up the entries.
- Create Missing Texts: If the text object or text ID is missing, you may need to create it. This can typically be done using transaction codes like SO10 (Text Management) to create or maintain texts.
- Review Configuration: Ensure that the configuration settings for the application you are working with are correct and that they reference the appropriate text objects and IDs.
- Check Transport Logs: If the issue arose after a transport, check the transport logs for any errors or warnings that might indicate why the text objects or IDs were not transported correctly.
- Authorization Check: Ensure that the user has the necessary authorizations to access and manage text objects and IDs. You may need to consult with your SAP security team to verify this.
