Message text: Performance value for specific HTTP command
Every content repository is monitored insofar as all other requests are
sent along with an infoRequest. In this way, all requests are
monitored. Requests for special HTTP commands are also sent to the
Content Server.
The commands in question are the HTTP commands specified in the SAP
Content Server HTTP Interface, for example:
get
docGet
create
append
update
For the specification for each individual command, see the
documentation on <ls>SAP Content Server HTTP Interface</>. This is
available in the SAP Library under <ls>Basis - Basis Services - SAP
Knowledge Provider - Content Management Service</>.
The performance value for special HTTP commands is output.
If this performance value exceeds certain threshold values, an alert
occurs. You have the option to change the pre-defined threshold values.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

CMS092
- Performance value for specific HTTP command ?The SAP error message CMS092 typically relates to performance issues when executing specific HTTP commands in the SAP system. This error can occur in various contexts, such as when using the SAP NetWeaver Application Server or when interacting with web services.
Cause:
The error message CMS092 indicates that the performance value for a specific HTTP command is not meeting the expected thresholds. This can be caused by several factors, including:
- Network Latency: High latency in the network can lead to slow response times for HTTP commands.
- Server Load: If the SAP server is under heavy load, it may not be able to process HTTP requests efficiently.
- Configuration Issues: Incorrect configuration of the HTTP server or the SAP system can lead to performance bottlenecks.
- Resource Limitations: Insufficient resources (CPU, memory, etc.) on the server can impact performance.
- Inefficient Code: Poorly optimized code in the application can lead to slow processing times for HTTP commands.
Solution:
To resolve the CMS092 error, consider the following steps:
- Monitor Performance: Use SAP's monitoring tools (like ST03N, ST06, or transaction SM50) to analyze system performance and identify bottlenecks.
- Check Network: Ensure that the network connection between the client and the SAP server is stable and has low latency. You may need to work with your network team to diagnose any issues.
- Optimize Server Resources: If the server is under heavy load, consider scaling up resources (CPU, memory) or optimizing existing workloads.
- Review Configuration: Check the configuration settings for the HTTP server and the SAP system to ensure they are optimized for performance.
- Code Optimization: Review the code for the application to identify any inefficiencies that could be causing slow performance. This may involve profiling the application and making necessary adjustments.
- Increase Timeout Settings: If applicable, consider increasing timeout settings for HTTP commands to allow for longer processing times during peak loads.
