    Cause:

    1. Standard vs. Non-Standard BOM: The error arises when the system is configured to accept only non-standard BOMs for a particular operation or transaction. If you attempt to enter a standard BOM or an invalid key, the system will throw this error.

    1. Verify BOM Type: Check the BOM type you are trying to use. Ensure that it is indeed a non-standard BOM. You can do this by navigating to the BOM master data and checking the classification of the BOM.
    2. Use Correct BOM Key: If you are supposed to use a non-standard BOM, ensure that you are entering the correct key associated with it. You may need to consult with your BOM master data or engineering team to get the correct key.
    3. Configuration Review: If you believe that the configuration should allow for standard BOMs, consult with your SAP configuration team to review the settings related to BOM processing in your system.
    4. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific details on BOM types and their usage in your version of SAP.
    5. User Training: Ensure that users are trained on the correct procedures for entering BOMs, including understanding the differences between standard and non-standard BOMs.
