  • What causes this issue?

In the class type table, <DS:GLOS.engineering_change_management>
engineering change management</> is not defined as active for
classification with class type &V1&. In Customizing for classification,
you define whether or not classification data of a certain class type
can be changed with reference to a change number. For the current class
type, the indicator has been set such that this is not possible.
Any change that you make to a class also affects the objects allocated
to the class. This is why you cannot change classification data with
    reference to a <DS:GLOS.change_number>change number</>.

    classification.
