- Reference cost estimate master data differs for material &1 plant &2 ?The SAP error message CK2001 indicates that there is a discrepancy in the reference cost estimate master data for a specific material in a particular plant. This error typically arises during the cost estimate process, particularly when trying to create or update a cost estimate for a material that references a cost estimate that does not match the expected data.
Cause:
- Inconsistent Cost Estimates: The reference cost estimate for the material in the specified plant may not match the expected values in the system. This can happen if the cost estimate was changed or if there are multiple versions of the cost estimate.
- Missing or Incorrect Master Data: The material master data or the cost estimate master data may be incomplete or incorrectly maintained.
- Plant-Specific Settings: The settings for the plant may not be aligned with the reference cost estimate, leading to discrepancies.
- Versioning Issues: If the cost estimate has been updated or if there are different versions of the cost estimate, this can lead to inconsistencies.
Solution:
- Check Cost Estimate: Verify the reference cost estimate for the material in the specified plant. Ensure that the cost estimate is correctly maintained and that it matches the expected values.
- Review Master Data: Check the material master data and ensure that all relevant fields are correctly filled out. Pay special attention to the costing views.
- Consistency Check: Use transaction CK11N (Create Cost Estimate) or CK40N (Change Cost Estimate) to check for inconsistencies in the cost estimates. You can also use transaction CK24 to display the cost estimates and see if there are any discrepancies.
- Update or Create Cost Estimate: If the reference cost estimate is outdated or incorrect, consider updating it or creating a new cost estimate that aligns with the current data.
- Consult Documentation: Review SAP documentation or help files related to cost estimates and master data to ensure compliance with best practices.
- Check for Authorizations: Ensure that you have the necessary authorizations to view and modify cost estimates and master data.
