Message text: Release disallowed (packages do not have released status)
You want to release a <DS:GLOS.change_leader>change leader</>.
The system checks the system status of the allocated change packages
(ECO). A change leader cannot be released until you have set the
<LS>ECO released</> system status for the allocated packages.
Check whether you can release the change packages. You cannot release
the leading change master record (change leader) until you have
released all the packages belonging to it.
<LS>Exception</>: If you have set the <DS:DE.CC_AEHI_LATE>Late packages
allowed</> indicator under <DS:SIMG.SIMG_CFMENUOLPSOS54>control data</>
in Customizing, you receive a warning message. Before you release the
change leader, you should check the packages that have not yet been
released.

CC252
- Release disallowed (packages do not have released status) ?The SAP error message CC252, which states "Release disallowed (packages do not have released status)," typically occurs in the context of SAP Change and Transport System (CTS) when you attempt to release a transport request that contains packages that are not in a released status. This can happen for various reasons, including:
Cause:
- Unreleased Packages: The transport request includes packages that have not been released. In SAP, packages must be in a released state before they can be included in a transport request.
- Development Class Issues: The development classes associated with the objects in the transport request may not be released.
- Transport Request Status: The transport request itself may be in a status that does not allow for the release of its contents.
Solution:
To resolve the CC252 error, you can follow these steps:
Check Package Status:
- Go to transaction code SE80 (Object Navigator) or SE21 (Transport Organizer).
- Check the status of the packages included in the transport request. Ensure that all packages are in a released state.
Release Packages:
- If you find any packages that are not released, you can release them by navigating to the package in SE80 or SE21 and using the "Release" option.
Check Development Class:
- If the objects belong to a development class, ensure that the development class is released. You can check this in transaction SE80 or SE11 (Data Dictionary).
Review Transport Request:
- Ensure that the transport request itself is in a valid state for release. You can check the status of the transport request in transaction SE09 or SE10.
Re-attempt Release:
- After ensuring that all packages and development classes are released, try to release the transport request again.
