  • What causes this issue?

To execute the required function, the system determines the employee's
personnel number based on his or her user ID. The system could not do
this, however, because some personnel master data (
    <DS:GLOS.3528EB01E8A0556FE10000009B38F983> infotype 0105</>) has not
    been maintained for employee &V1&.

    System Response

The system cannot execute the required function.

    How to fix this error?

Check table T77S0 for the entry for GRPID 'MAIL' and SEMID 'SAPSY'.
This entry determines which subtype of infotype 105 is used to determine
the system user ID. This is usually subtype 0001.
Now check the entry in the view V_T591C for the subtype determined in
    the first step.
In this view, the indicator LONG_ID should not be set for the
    corresponding subtype (see Note 504531).
If the customizing settings are correct, create the corresponding
combination of infotype 105 and subtype xxx.
If the indicator LONG_ID was set in view V_T591C and then withdrawn,
all data records in infotype 105 for the corresponding subtype must be
    updated again.
It should then be possible to run
    transaction CATSXT without problems.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
