  • Message text: Error on local database during commit change

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

An error occurred while the system was attempting to update changes to
the local database. The update was probably terminated abnormally. This
is particularly critical if you want to perform the object assignments
in an external system. The <DS:TX.CACS_OAFOA>Framework for Object
Assignment</> attempts to perform the object assignments in an external
system if an RFC destination was specified in the
    <DS:DE.CACSOAPLUG>application plug</> of the <DS:TX.CACS_OATY>assignment
    type</>.

    System Response

Further processing of the worklist is terminated.

    How to fix this error?

Use transaction SM13 to determine whether any abnormal terminations
occurred and attempt to restart the update. If worklist processing
included updating database changes to an external system, the worklist
is now inconsistent. Although the changes (object assignments such as
writing transfer documents in entitlement and liability transfer) were
updated successfully to the external system, the status of the
    assignment instructions is faulty.
In this case, compare the assignment instructions of the worklist with
the status of the object assignment in the external system.
Determine what caused the database commit error. Do not use the affected
    worklist any more.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
