  • What causes this issue?

    An error occurred while the system was attempting to update changes to
    the external database. The update was probably terminated abnormally.
    The worklist is still consistent, however, since object transfers to an
    external system update the external database changes before the local
    database changes.

    System Response

    Processing of the worklist is terminated.

    How to fix this error?

    Use transaction SM13 in the external system to see whether any abnormal
    update terminations occurred.
    Do <ZH>not</> restart the update.
    Determine what caused the abnormal termination and correct the error to
    prevent further terminations.

    Procedure for System Administrators

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
