Message number: 033
Message text: Maximum depth &1 of determination process reached for combination '&2'
The determination process has reached the maximum recursion depth &v1&
for combination &v2&. The recursion depth is configured in the
<ZK>Process Configuration</> table (TCACS_DETCFG) for a result type and
serves the purpose of avoiding an endless loop.
The determination process was canceled.
If the recursion depth is too low, configure a higher value and start
the determination process again.
Alternatively you can use the <ZK>Determination Analysis</> (transaction
CACS_DET_ANALYSIS) to correct this error.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

CACSDET033
- Maximum depth &1 of determination process reached for combination '&2' ?The SAP error message CACSDET033 indicates that the maximum depth of the determination process has been reached for a specific combination of parameters. This typically occurs in the context of SAP Convergent Charging (SAP CC) or similar applications where complex determination processes are used to derive pricing, charging, or other business logic based on various input parameters.
Cause:
- Complex Determination Logic: The determination process may involve multiple layers of rules or conditions that are too complex, leading to a situation where the system exceeds the predefined maximum depth.
- Configuration Issues: There may be misconfigurations in the determination rules or conditions that create circular references or excessive branching.
- Data Issues: The input data may lead to an unexpected number of determination paths being evaluated, causing the depth limit to be reached.
Solution:
- Review Determination Rules: Check the determination rules and conditions to ensure they are not overly complex or misconfigured. Simplifying the logic can help reduce the depth of the determination process.
- Increase Maximum Depth: If the business logic genuinely requires a deeper determination process, consider increasing the maximum depth setting in the configuration. This can usually be done in the system settings or configuration for the determination process.
- Debugging: Use debugging tools to trace the determination process and identify where the excessive depth is occurring. This can help pinpoint specific rules or conditions that are causing the issue.
- Optimize Data: Ensure that the input data is clean and does not lead to unnecessary complexity in the determination process.
Related Information:
By addressing the complexity of the determination rules and ensuring proper configuration, you can resolve the CACSDET033 error and improve the efficiency of the determination process in your SAP system.
