How To Fix BSANLY_CONT_ACT_MSG068 - Different BAdIs defined for bundle &1 and &3 in remote BI system

SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: BSANLY_CONT_ACT_MSG - Messages for BI Content Activation Workbench

  • Message number: 068

  • Message text: Different BAdIs defined for bundle &1 and &3 in remote BI system

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

During BI Content activation, bundle &V1& calls BAdI implementation &V2&
of enhancement spot RSXWB_ENH_CONTENT_ACTIVATION in the remote BI
system. However, this BAdI is not defined for bundle &V3&.

    System Response

In the current context, only BAdI implementations valid for the leading
    bundle &V4& are called.
Note: other BAdI implementations might exist for the bundles which are
not mentioned in this message. You should display the properties of the
bundles to see which implementations apply.

    How to fix this error?

You can only activate bundles simultanously that call the same BAdI
implementations during BI Content activation. Therefore, only such
bundles can be contained in a surrounding bundle.
The BAdI implementations to be called are defined by filter conditions
(name of the content bundle). Ensure that all bundles (surrounding
bundle and included bundles) trigger the same BAdI implementations
    during activation.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message BSANLY_CONT_ACT_MSG068 - Different BAdIs defined for bundle &1 and &3 in remote BI system ?

The SAP error message BSANLY_CONT_ACT_MSG068 indicates that there are different Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) defined for the same bundle in a remote Business Intelligence (BI) system. This typically occurs when there is a mismatch in the BAdI implementations between the source and target systems, which can lead to inconsistencies in data processing or reporting.

    Cause:

    1. Different BAdI Implementations: The error arises when the same bundle (identified by &1 and &3) has different BAdI implementations in the remote BI system compared to the local system.
    2. Transport Issues: If BAdI implementations were transported from one system to another, there may have been issues during the transport process, leading to inconsistencies.
    3. Versioning: Different versions of the BAdI implementations may exist in the systems, causing a mismatch.

    Solution:

    1. Check BAdI Implementations:

      • Go to the transaction code SE18 (BAdI Definition) and check the BAdI definitions for the bundle in both the local and remote systems.
      • Ensure that the implementations are consistent across both systems.
    2. Transport Consistency:

      • If the BAdI implementations were recently transported, verify that the transport requests were completed successfully and that all necessary objects were included.
      • If inconsistencies are found, consider re-transporting the BAdI implementations.
    3. Synchronize Systems:

      • If there are differences, you may need to synchronize the BAdI implementations between the systems. This may involve copying the implementation from one system to another or adjusting the implementations to match.
    4. Check for Custom Code:

      • If there are custom implementations, ensure that they are correctly defined and activated in both systems.
    5. Consult Documentation:

      • Review SAP documentation or notes related to the specific BAdI and bundle to understand any known issues or required configurations.
    6. Contact SAP Support:

      • If the issue persists after checking the above points, consider reaching out to SAP support for further assistance.

    Related Information:

    • BAdI (Business Add-In): A SAP enhancement technique that allows developers to add custom code to standard SAP applications without modifying the original code.
    • Transaction Codes:
      • SE18: To view BAdI definitions.
      • SE19: To implement BAdIs.
    • SAP Notes: Check for any relevant SAP Notes that may address this specific error or provide additional guidance.

By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the issue related to the BAdI mismatch in your SAP systems.
