How To Fix BSANLY_CONT_ACT_MSG067 - Different BAdIs defined for bundle &1 and &3 in local BI system

SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: BSANLY_CONT_ACT_MSG - Messages for BI Content Activation Workbench

  • Message number: 067

  • Message text: Different BAdIs defined for bundle &1 and &3 in local BI system

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

During BI Content activation, bundle &V1& calls BAdI implementation &V2&
of enhancement spot RSXWB_ENH_CONTENT_ACTIVATION in the local BI system.
However, this BAdI is not defined for bundle &V3&.

    System Response

In the current context, only BAdI implementations valid for the leading
    bundle &V4& are called.
Note: other BAdI implementations might exist for the bundles which are
not mentioned in this message. You should display the properties of the
bundles to see which implementations apply.

    How to fix this error?

You can only activate bundles simultanously that call the same BAdI
implementations during BI Content activation. Therefore, only such
bundles can be contained in a surrounding bundle.
The BAdI implementations to be called are defined by filter conditions
(name of the content bundle). Ensure that all bundles (surrounding
bundle and included bundles) trigger the same BAdI implementations
    during activation.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message BSANLY_CONT_ACT_MSG067 - Different BAdIs defined for bundle &1 and &3 in local BI system ?

The SAP error message BSANLY_CONT_ACT_MSG067 indicates that there are different Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) defined for the same bundle in a local Business Intelligence (BI) system. This typically occurs when there are inconsistencies in the BAdI implementations for the same bundle across different systems or environments.

    Cause:

    1. Inconsistent BAdI Implementations: The error arises when the same bundle (identified by &1 and &3) has different BAdI implementations in the local BI system. This can happen if:

      • The BAdI implementations were modified or created in one system but not transported to another.
      • There are version mismatches between the systems.
    2. Transport Issues: If BAdI implementations were transported from one system to another, there may have been issues during the transport process, leading to inconsistencies.

    3. Configuration Errors: Incorrect configuration settings in the BI system can also lead to this error.

    Solution:

    1. Check BAdI Implementations:

      • Go to the transaction code SE18 (BAdI Definition) and SE19 (BAdI Implementation) to review the BAdI implementations for the bundles in question.
      • Ensure that the BAdI implementations for the bundles are consistent across the systems.
    2. Transport BAdI Implementations:

      • If you find that the BAdI implementations are different, transport the correct implementations from the source system to the target system using the transport management system (TMS).
    3. Review Transport Logs:

      • Check the transport logs for any errors or warnings that might indicate issues during the transport of BAdI implementations.
    4. Consistency Check:

      • Perform a consistency check in the BI system to ensure that all BAdI implementations are correctly defined and activated.
    5. Consult Documentation:

      • Review SAP documentation or notes related to the specific BAdIs and bundles to understand any specific requirements or known issues.
    6. Contact SAP Support:

      • If the issue persists after checking the implementations and transports, consider reaching out to SAP support for further assistance.

    Related Information:

    • BAdI (Business Add-In): A BAdI is a type of enhancement in SAP that allows developers to add custom functionality to standard SAP applications without modifying the original code.
    • Transaction Codes: Familiarize yourself with transaction codes like SE18 and SE19 for managing BAdIs.
    • Transport Management System (TMS): Understand how to use TMS for transporting objects between different SAP systems.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the error and ensure that the BAdI implementations are consistent across your SAP systems.
