Message text: Cell &1 cannot be calculated. Filter not part of a time interval.
Cell &V1& contains a selection on characteristic with a CURRENT MEMBER
variable. A filter is therefore required on a time characteristic so
that the system can derive an upper and lower limit for the time
characteristic.
Examples of filters with an upper and lower limit are lists of values,
intervals, or hierarchy nodes. An example of filters that do not have
upper and lower limits is ones containing "<" or ">" selections, or
filters that exclude certain values or ranges. An upper and lower limit
can also not be derived for filters on the fiscal period or fiscal year
if the fiscal variant is uniquely specified.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Set a (simpler) filter for a time characteristic.

BRAIN_DEV007
- Cell &1 cannot be calculated. Filter not part of a time interval. ?The SAP error message BRAIN_DEV007 indicates that a specific cell in a report or query cannot be calculated because the filter applied does not correspond to a valid time interval. This typically occurs in SAP BW (Business Warehouse) or SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation) environments when working with queries that involve time-based data.
Cause:
- Invalid Time Filter: The filter applied to the query may not match any existing time intervals in the data. For example, if the filter is set to a specific month or year that does not have any data, the calculation will fail.
- Data Availability: The data for the specified time period may not be loaded or available in the InfoProvider.
- Incorrect Query Design: The query may be designed in such a way that it expects data for a time period that is not aligned with the filters applied.
Solution:
- Check Filters: Review the filters applied to the query. Ensure that the time filter corresponds to a valid time interval that exists in the data.
- Data Verification: Verify that the data for the specified time period is loaded into the InfoProvider. You can do this by checking the data in the underlying data source.
- Adjust Query Design: If necessary, adjust the query design to ensure that it accommodates the time intervals that are relevant to the data available.
- Use Default Values: If applicable, consider using default values for the time filter that are known to have data.
- Test with Different Time Intervals: Try running the query with different time intervals to see if the issue persists.
