The characteristics and hierarchies (name/version/key date) used are:

&V3& with hierarchy &V4&
A warning appears and no data is displayed. You can navigate further,
but you must align the hierarchies for the characteristic pairs.

pair are identical.

- Two different hier. not allowed for elimination of int. business volume ?The SAP error message BRAIN505, which states "Two different hierarchies not allowed for elimination of internal business volume," typically occurs in the context of financial reporting and consolidation processes within SAP systems, particularly in the SAP Business Warehouse (BW) or SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) environments.
Cause:
This error arises when there is an attempt to eliminate internal business volumes (intercompany transactions) that are associated with different hierarchies. In SAP, hierarchies are used to structure data for reporting and analysis. When performing eliminations, the system expects that the data being processed belongs to the same hierarchy. If the data comes from different hierarchies, the system cannot perform the necessary calculations for elimination, leading to this error.
Solution:
To resolve the BRAIN505 error, consider the following steps:
Check Hierarchies: Verify the hierarchies used in the data being processed. Ensure that all relevant data for the elimination process is using the same hierarchy.
Adjust Data Sources: If the data is coming from different sources or cubes, ensure that they are aligned to use the same hierarchy for the elimination process.
Review Configuration: Check the configuration settings in your SAP BW or BPC system. Ensure that the settings for intercompany eliminations are correctly defined and that they reference the same hierarchy.
Data Consistency: Ensure that the data being loaded into the system is consistent and adheres to the expected structure. This may involve data cleansing or transformation processes.
Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to intercompany eliminations and hierarchies for specific guidance on your version of SAP.
Testing: After making adjustments, perform tests to ensure that the elimination process works as expected without triggering the error.
