Message text: Explicit sel. on NLS InfoProvider in MultiProvider are not supported
For technical reasons, the selection for this InfoProvider &V2& is not
supported.
Data from this InfoProvider was stored using a near-line storage
connection and this InfoProvider is part of a MultiProvider. InfoPr

The selection cannot be executed.
Use the <ZK>Key Figure Definition</> function. Here, you can drill down
according to the 0INFOPROV characteristic. This allows you to determine

BRAIN312
- Explicit sel. on NLS InfoProvider in MultiProvider are not supported ?The SAP error message BRAIN312 indicates that there is an issue with the use of explicit selections on Non-Linked Structures (NLS) InfoProviders within a MultiProvider. This error typically arises when you attempt to filter or select data from an NLS InfoProvider that is part of a MultiProvider, which is not supported by SAP BW (Business Warehouse).
Cause:
The primary cause of this error is that NLS InfoProviders do not support explicit selections when they are included in a MultiProvider. Explicit selections refer to the filtering of data based on specific criteria, which is not allowed for NLS InfoProviders in the context of a MultiProvider.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you can consider the following approaches:
Remove Explicit Selections: If possible, avoid using explicit selections on the NLS InfoProvider. Instead, try to use other filtering methods that are supported.
Use a Different InfoProvider: If the requirement allows, consider using a different type of InfoProvider that supports explicit selections. For example, you could use a standard InfoCube or DataStore Object (DSO) instead of an NLS InfoProvider.
Redesign the Query: If the query design allows, you may need to redesign the query to avoid the use of explicit selections on the NLS InfoProvider. This might involve changing how data is aggregated or filtered.
Check Query Properties: Review the properties of the query to ensure that it is not trying to apply explicit selections on the NLS InfoProvider. Adjust the query settings accordingly.
Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to the specific version of SAP BW you are using for any additional guidance or updates regarding the use of NLS InfoProviders in MultiProviders.
Related Information:
If the issue persists after trying the above solutions, it may be beneficial to consult with your SAP BW administrator or reach out to SAP support for further assistance.
