  • What causes this issue?

In conjunction with SAP S/4HANA, the system no longer supports the use
of former budgeting in Funds Management.

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

For the purposes of budget management, you can now use the Budget
Control System (BCS) in Funds Management.
Existing customers can migrate their budget data. Migration tools for
this purpose are available in Customizing under "Budget Control System
(BCS)". It is technically possible to perform the migration after SAP
S/4HANA has been installed. However, to ensure that business processes
run smoothly, SAP recommends that you migrate to BCS before upgrading
your system to SAP S/4HANA. The data of former budgeting that was saved
up to this point remains unchanged in the system after an upgrade to SAP
S/4HANA, but the data can no longer be used for processes in the system
    (such as active availability control).
