  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message BORGR026 - Shipment & is being explained; you cannot add inbound deliveries ?

The SAP error message BORGR026 indicates that a shipment is currently being processed or explained, which prevents the addition of inbound deliveries to that shipment. This situation typically arises when there is an ongoing operation or transaction related to the shipment, such as a shipment being in a status that does not allow modifications.

    Cause:

    1. Shipment Status: The shipment may be in a status that does not permit the addition of inbound deliveries. For example, if the shipment is being processed, confirmed, or is in a status that locks it for changes.
    2. Ongoing Processes: There may be background processes or transactions that are currently being executed on the shipment, preventing any modifications.
    3. User Lock: Another user might be accessing the shipment, causing a temporary lock on the ability to make changes.

    Solution:

    1. Check Shipment Status: Review the status of the shipment in the SAP system. If it is in a status that does not allow changes, you may need to wait until the status changes or the process is completed.
    2. Release Locks: If the shipment is locked due to another user or process, you may need to coordinate with that user or wait for the process to complete.
    3. Transaction Monitoring: Use transaction codes like SM12 to check for any locks on the shipment and SM37 to monitor any background jobs that might be affecting the shipment.
    4. Reprocess: If the shipment is stuck in a process, you may need to reprocess or cancel the ongoing transaction, if appropriate.
    5. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or your organization's SAP support team for specific guidance related to your system configuration and processes.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: Familiarize yourself with relevant transaction codes such as VT01N (Create Shipment), VT02N (Change Shipment), and VT03N (Display Shipment) to manage shipments effectively.
