APO_BAPI199
- Data entered for several planning versions ?The SAP error message APO_BAPI199 typically indicates that there is an issue with the data being entered for multiple planning versions in the Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) module. This error often arises when a user attempts to process or update data that is associated with more than one planning version simultaneously, which is not allowed in certain contexts.
Cause:
- Multiple Planning Versions: The error occurs when the system detects that the data being processed is linked to multiple planning versions. This can happen if the user tries to execute a transaction or a BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface) that is not designed to handle multiple versions at once.
- Incorrect Data Entry: Users may inadvertently enter data for different planning versions in a single transaction, leading to this error.
- Configuration Issues: There may be configuration settings in the APO system that restrict the handling of multiple planning versions.
Solution:
- Check Planning Versions: Review the planning versions you are working with. Ensure that you are only processing data for a single planning version at a time.
- Separate Transactions: If you need to work with multiple planning versions, consider separating the transactions. Process each planning version individually to avoid conflicts.
- Data Validation: Before executing the transaction, validate the data to ensure that it corresponds to only one planning version.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to the SAP documentation or help files related to the specific BAPI or transaction you are using to understand its limitations regarding planning versions.
- System Configuration: If the issue persists, consult with your SAP Basis or APO configuration team to review the system settings and ensure they are correctly configured to handle your requirements.
