What causes this issue?

You did not enter a transaction type for retirement of current-year
acquisitions in transaction type &V1&. Since &V1& is a transaction type
for prior-year acquisitions, you should enter a transaction type for
retirement of current-year acquisitions. Otherwise problems will occur
if the asset has current-year acquisitions in addition to prior-year
acquisitions.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
