What causes this issue?

Transfer method &V4& is specified for depreciation area &V3&. A
retirement transaction type is assigned for retirements, and therefore
an acquisition transaction type must be assigned for acquisitions that
allows manual entry of proportional values.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
