What causes this issue?

Transfer method &V4& is specified for depreciation area &V3&. A
transfer transaction type is assigned for retirements, and therefore a
transfer transaction type must also be used for acquisitions.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
