- Part of LO data is being processed by & ?The SAP error message "62201: Part of LO data is being processed by &" typically occurs in the context of Logistics Execution (LO) and indicates that there is a conflict in data processing. This error usually arises when a certain part of the Logistics data is being accessed or modified by another process or user, leading to a lock situation.
Cause:
- Data Locking: The most common cause of this error is that the data you are trying to access is currently locked by another user or process. This can happen during transactions that involve updating or processing logistics data, such as inventory management or order processing.
- Long-running Transactions: If a transaction takes too long to complete, it may hold locks on the data, preventing other transactions from accessing it.
- Batch Jobs: Background jobs or batch processes that are running and accessing the same data can also lead to this error.
Solution:
- Wait and Retry: Often, the simplest solution is to wait for a few moments and then retry the operation. If the lock is temporary, it may be released shortly.
- Identify the Lock: Use transaction codes like
SM12
(to view and manage locks) to identify which user or process is holding the lock on the data. You can then decide whether to wait for the lock to be released or take further action.- Terminate the Lock: If you have the necessary authorizations and it is appropriate to do so, you can terminate the lock held by another user or process. Be cautious with this approach, as it may lead to data inconsistencies if the other process is still running.
- Check for Long-running Processes: Review any long-running transactions or batch jobs that may be causing the lock and consider optimizing them or scheduling them during off-peak hours.
- Consult with Basis Team: If the issue persists, it may be beneficial to consult with your SAP Basis team for further investigation and resolution.
