Message text: TemSe object & already exists. Object has not been created
You have attempted to create an HR TemSe object to backup table PA0077.
However, an object already exists (&V1&).
The required HR TemSe object cannot be created.
The original backup should not be replaced and only one backup file
should exist. In the case that the original backup should be replace by
a newer version then the TemSe file has to be manually deleted prior to
creating a new TemSe file.
If deleting the TemSe file the original infotype 0077 data might be
irretrievably lost.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

- TemSe object & already exists. Object has not been created ?The SAP error message 5K218 indicates that a TemSe (Temporary Sequential Object) object you are trying to create already exists in the system. This error typically occurs when there is an attempt to create a new TemSe object with a name or identifier that is already in use.
Cause:
- Duplicate Object Name: The most common cause is that the TemSe object you are trying to create has the same name as an existing object.
- System Configuration Issues: There may be issues with the system configuration or inconsistencies in the database that lead to this error.
- Transport Issues: If you are working with transports, there might be a conflict with objects being transported that already exist in the target system.
Solution:
Check Existing TemSe Objects:
- Use transaction code SE11 (Data Dictionary) or SE78 (SAP Archive Link) to check if the TemSe object already exists.
- You can also use transaction SP01 to view the list of TemSe objects and see if the object you are trying to create is already listed.
Rename the Object:
- If you have control over the naming, consider using a different name for the new TemSe object to avoid conflicts.
Delete or Archive Existing Object:
- If the existing object is no longer needed, you can delete it using transaction SP01. Be cautious with this approach, as it may affect other processes that rely on that object.
Check for Transport Conflicts:
- If this error occurs during a transport, ensure that the object is not being transported from another system at the same time. You may need to coordinate with your transport team.
System Consistency Check:
- Run consistency checks on the system to ensure that there are no underlying issues causing this error. This may involve checking the database or performing system maintenance tasks.
