Message text: Existing car record for CO2 &1 will be overwritten by &2
An entry in the view cluster VC_T5GC1 already exists for this car in
the exact same period.
The system does not allow this change since it is likely a previous
record has already been updated using the existing data.
Check that the car record chosen in the selection is the exact same car
as the one to be recorded for the employee. If not choose another car
record or create the details for the new car. Ensure that <ZK>Valid
from </>date is correct.
If you are sure that this is the exact same car, investigate why this
entry was incorrectly entered. Check whether other employees may have
this incorrect entry maintained for them. Should it be necessary to
change the database entry, use viewcluster VC_T5GC1.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

- Existing car record for CO2 &1 will be overwritten by &2 ?The SAP error message 5G568 indicates that there is an existing car record for a specific CO2 value that will be overwritten by a new entry. This typically occurs in the context of managing vehicle data, particularly in modules related to vehicle management or environmental compliance.
Cause:
The error arises when you attempt to create or update a record for a vehicle (or car) that already has an existing entry for the same CO2 value. The system is designed to prevent data inconsistency by warning you that the new entry will replace the existing one.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you can take the following steps:
Check Existing Records: Before creating or updating a record, check the existing entries for the vehicle in question. You can do this by navigating to the relevant transaction or report that displays vehicle data.
Decide on Action:
- If the existing record is still valid and should not be overwritten, you may need to modify your new entry to use a different CO2 value or update the existing record instead.
- If the existing record is outdated or incorrect, you can proceed with the update, but ensure that you have the necessary permissions and that overwriting the data is appropriate.
Data Validation: Ensure that the data you are entering is accurate and that you are following the business rules set for vehicle management in your organization.
Consult Documentation: Refer to your organization's SAP documentation or guidelines for managing vehicle records, as there may be specific procedures to follow.
Contact Support: If you are unsure about the implications of overwriting the record or if you encounter further issues, consider reaching out to your SAP support team or a functional consultant for assistance.
