Statutory Adoption Leave (SAL) is available when an employee is
entitled to either Statutory Adoption Pay or Statutory Paternity Pay
(adoption).
The date of notification given by the employee of intention to take
Statutory Adoption Leave is before the date the employee received a
Matching Certificate, this date being the official date the employee is
matched with a child. To allow entitlement for either Statutory
Adoption Pay or Statutory Paternity Pay (adoption), an employee must
give notification of intention to take paid SAL on or after the date
the employee is matched with a child and receives a matching
certificate.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
