What causes this issue?

You want to process a document that has no change number entered in its
basic data. However, it is possible to enter a document in one or more
change master records as a change object. This reserves the document
for the change number(s) concerned.

System Response

The system whether the document is entered as a change object and which
change master records the document is entered in. If the document is
reserved for at least one change number, the system displays the change
numbers in the dialog box.

How to fix this error?

You can control processing of the <LS>Change number</> field as
follows:
If you want to copy a change number to the document, place the cursor
on the line you require. Double click on the line. The system copies
the change number and its valid-from date to the document.
Once you have saved the document version, you can no longer change the
change number.
If you do not want to copy a change number, choose <LS>Cancel</>.
