VKA1 - Details

    Overview:
    The SAP transaction code VKA1 is used to create, change, and display archiving conditions. It is used to define the criteria for archiving documents in the system. 
    
    Functionality: 
    VKA1 allows users to define the criteria for archiving documents in the system. This includes setting up the conditions for which documents should be archived, as well as defining the archiving objects and their associated fields. The transaction code also allows users to view existing archiving conditions and make changes as needed. 
    
    Step-by-step How to Use: 
    1. Enter transaction code VKA1 in the command field. 
    2. Select “Create” to create a new archiving condition. 
    3. Enter a name for the condition and select “Continue”. 
    4. Enter the criteria for archiving documents in the system and select “Save”. 
    5. Select “Display” to view existing archiving conditions and make changes as needed. 
    6. Select “Change” to make changes to an existing condition and select “Save” when finished. 
    7. Select “Back” to return to the main screen of VKA1. 
    
    Other Recommendations: 
    It is important to note that changes made in VKA1 will not take effect until the system is restarted or a background job is run to activate them. Additionally, it is recommended that users test any changes made in a test environment before applying them in production systems.
