  Step-by-step How to Use: 
  To use the SM01 transaction code, follow these steps 
  1. Log into the SAP system and enter the SM01 transaction code in the command field. 
  2. Select the “Lock” option from the menu. 
  3. Enter the name of the transaction or program you want to lock in the “Transaction/Program” field. 
  4. Enter a description of why you are locking the transaction in the “Description” field (optional). 
  5. Click “Execute” to lock the transaction or program. 
  6. To unlock a transaction, select the “Unlock” option from the menu and enter the name of the transaction or program you want to unlock in the “Transaction/Program” field. 
  7. Click “Execute” to unlock the transaction or program.
