  5. Assign a controlling area to the cost element or cost center. 
  6. Save your changes by selecting “Save” from the menu bar. 
  7. Exit the transaction code by selecting “Back” from the menu bar.

  It is recommended that users familiarize themselves with all of the options available in CAS1 before using it, as there are many different settings that can be configured for each cost element or cost center. Additionally, users should ensure that all of their changes are saved before exiting the transaction code, as any unsaved changes will be lost when exiting CAS1.
