  Step-by-step How to Use: 
  1. Enter the transaction code CXC9 into the command field. 
  2. Select “Create” from the menu bar. 
  3. Enter a name for the period category and select “Save”. 
  4. Select “Assign Periods” from the menu bar. 
  5. Enter the start and end dates for each period and select “Save”. 
  6. Select “Define Number of Periods” from the menu bar. 
  7. Enter the number of periods in a year and the number of days in each period and select “Save”. 
  8. Select “Activate” from the menu bar to activate the period category. 
  
  Other Recommendations: 
  It is important to note that once a period category has been activated, it cannot be changed or deleted without first deactivating it. Additionally, it is recommended that users test any changes made to a period category before activating it in order to ensure that it works as expected.
