  Overview:

  The START_CFG_UPGRADE transaction code is used to start the Configuration Model Upgrade Tool (CMUT). This tool helps to upgrade the configuration model of an SAP system from one version to another. The CMUT can be used to upgrade the configuration model of an SAP system from any version to any other version. 
  
  Step-by-step How to Use: 
  1. Log into the SAP system and enter the transaction code START_CFG_UPGRADE. 
  2. Select the source and target versions of the configuration model that you want to upgrade. 
  3. Select the objects that you want to upgrade. 
  4. Click on “Start Upgrade” button to start the upgrade process. 
  5. The CMUT will then start the upgrade process and display a log of all the changes made during the upgrade process. 
  6. Once the upgrade process is complete, click on “Finish” button to complete the process.
