OPEC - Details

  • SAP Tcode: OPEC - PP user fields

    Overview:
The SAP transaction code OPEC (PP User Fields) is used to maintain user-defined fields in the Production Planning (PP) module. It allows users to create and manage custom fields for PP objects, such as material masters, production orders, and work centers.

    Functionality:
OPEC enables users to create and maintain custom fields for PP objects. These fields can be used to store additional information that is not available in the standard SAP system. The custom fields can be used for reporting, data analysis, and other purposes.

    Step-by-step How to Use:
    1. Enter the transaction code OPEC in the command field.
    2. Select the object type for which you want to create a user field.
    3. Enter a name for the user field and select the data type.
    4. Enter a description for the user field and select the length of the field.
    5. Select whether you want to make the field mandatory or optional.
    6. Save your changes.

    Other Recommendations:
It is recommended that users create a naming convention for their user fields so that they can easily identify them in the future. Additionally, users should ensure that they have sufficient authorization to create and maintain user fields in PP objects.
