  Step-by-step How to Use: 
  Since OMT5 is an inactive transaction code, it cannot be used in the current version of SAP. However, if you are using an older version of SAP, you can use OMT5 as follows 
  1. Enter the transaction code OMT5 in the command field. 
  2. Enter the material number for which you want to assign authorization groups. 
  3. Select the authorization group that you want to assign to the material master. 
  4. Save your changes and exit the transaction code. 
  
  Other Recommendations: 
  If you are using a newer version of SAP, you should use transaction code OMT6 instead of OMT5. OMT6 is used for the same purpose as OMT5, but it is active and can be used in newer versions of SAP.
