    1. Enter transaction code OKEC in the command field. 
    2. Select the “Create” button to create a new matchcode ID for a cost element. 
    3. Enter the name of the matchcode ID and select “Continue”. 
    4. Enter the cost element number and select “Continue”. 
    5. Select “Save” to save the new matchcode ID for the cost element. 
    6. To change an existing matchcode ID, select the “Change” button and enter the name of the matchcode ID you want to change. 
    7. Enter the new name of the matchcode ID and select “Continue”. 
    8. Select “Save” to save the changes to the matchcode ID for the cost element. 
    9. To delete an existing matchcode ID, select the “Delete” button and enter the name of the matchcode ID you want to delete. 
    10. Select “Save” to delete the matchcode ID for the cost element from the system. 
    
    Other Recommendations: 
    It is important to note that when creating or changing a matchcode ID, it must be unique in order for it to be saved in the system successfully. Additionally, when deleting a matchcode ID, it is important to ensure that it is no longer being used by any other processes or programs in order for it to be deleted successfully from the system.
