  The SAP transaction code OABN is used to manage depreciation areas and ordinary depreciation in the SAP system. It allows users to create, change, and delete depreciation areas and to assign them to company codes. It also allows users to define the depreciation key for each area and to set up the depreciation terms for each asset class.

  1. Enter transaction code OABN in the command field. 
  2. Select “Create” from the menu bar. 
  3. Enter a name for the new depreciation area and select “Create” again. 
  4. Select “Change” from the menu bar and enter the name of the new area you just created. 
  5. Select “Assign Company Code” from the menu bar and enter the company code you want to assign this area to. 
  6. Select “Define
