  2. Enter the desired cost center number and name into the appropriate fields. 
  3. Assign a controlling area, cost center group, and cost center category to the new cost center. 
  4. Assign a responsible person for the new cost center. 
  5. Specify the start and end dates for the new cost center. 
  6. Save your changes by clicking on the save button at the top of the screen.
