  MMS1 is a transaction code used in SAP to create service and maintenance orders. It is used to create orders for services and maintenance activities that are required for the proper functioning of a company’s equipment. 
  
  Functionality: 
  MMS1 allows users to create service and maintenance orders for equipment, such as machines, tools, and other assets. The orders can be created for both preventive and corrective maintenance activities. The orders can also be used to track the progress of the activities and to monitor the costs associated with them. 
  
  Step-by-step How to Use: 
  1. Enter the transaction code MMS1 in the command field. 
  2. Enter the order type, such as “PM” for preventive maintenance or “CM” for corrective maintenance. 
  3. Enter the equipment number of the asset that needs to be serviced or maintained. 
  4. Enter the start date and end date of the order. 
  5. Enter any additional information that is required, such as the cost center or responsible person for the order. 
  6. Save the order by clicking on “Save” button. 
  7. The order will be created and can be monitored using MMS2 transaction code.
