  Overview:
  MDP0 is an SAP transaction code used for Independent Requirements Planning. It is a part of the Materials Management (MM) module and is used to plan material requirements independently of the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) process. This transaction code helps to plan material requirements for a specific material or material group. 
  
  Functionality: 
  MDP0 enables users to plan material requirements independently of the MRP process. It allows users to enter and maintain independent requirements for a specific material or material group. The independent requirements can be planned in terms of quantity, date, and source of supply. The transaction code also allows users to view the planned independent requirements in graphical format. 
  
  Step-by-step How to Use: 
  1. Enter the transaction code MDP0 in the SAP command field. 
  2. Enter the material number or material group in the Material field. 
  3. Enter the required quantity, date, and source of supply in the respective fields. 
  4. Click on ‘Save’ to save the planned independent requirements. 
  5. To view the planned independent requirements in graphical format, click on ‘Graphic’ button at the top of the screen. 
  6. To exit, click on ‘Back’ button at the top of the screen. 
  
  Other Recommendations: 
  It is recommended that users should use MDP0 only when it is necessary to plan material requirements independently of MRP process. Users should also ensure that all planned independent requirements are saved before exiting from this transaction code.
