  Overview:
  The SAP transaction code JKM1 is used to create a new cost center in the SAP system. It is a part of the Controlling (CO) module and is used to create cost centers for the purpose of cost accounting. 
  
  Functionality: 
  The JKM1 transaction code allows users to create a new cost center in the SAP system. It also allows users to assign a controlling area to the cost center, as well as assign a cost center group and cost element group. Additionally, users can assign a responsible person to the cost center and enter any additional information that may be necessary. 
  
  Step-by-step How to Use: 
  1. Enter the transaction code JKM1 in the command field. 
  2. Enter the name of the new cost center in the Cost Center field. 
  3. Assign a controlling area to the cost center by selecting it from the drop-down list. 
  4. Assign a cost center group and cost element group by selecting them from their respective drop-down lists. 
  5. Assign a responsible person to the cost center by selecting them from the drop-down list. 
  6. Enter any additional information that may be necessary in the Additional Data field. 
  7. Click on “Save” to save your changes and create the new cost center in the SAP system.
