  1. Enter GSP_MD in the SAP command field. 
  2. Select “Create” from the menu bar. 
  3. Enter the material number and description of the material you want to split. 
  4. Enter the components of the material, along with their quantity and unit of measure. 
  5. Assign a material number to each component, as well as a cost center and cost element. 
  6. Select “Save” from the menu bar to save your changes.
