  Functionality: 
  GC28 allows users to view the current status of a cost center in SAP. It displays the budgeted costs, actual costs, and any open items associated with the cost center. It also provides a comparison between the budgeted and actual costs. 
  
  Step-by-step How to Use: 
  1. Enter transaction code GC28 in the command field. 
  2. Enter the cost center number in the Cost Center field. 
  3. Select the period for which you want to view the status of the cost center. 
  4. Click Execute to view the status of the cost center. 
  5. The results will be displayed in a table format, showing budgeted costs, actual costs, and any open items associated with the cost center. 
  6. To view more detailed information about each item, click on it in the table. 
  7. To compare budgeted and actual costs, click on Compare Budget/Actuals in the menu bar at the top of the screen. 
  8. To exit, click on Back or press F3 on your keyboard.
