Overview: The SAP transaction code BS02 is used to define status profiles in the SAP system. This transaction code is used to create and maintain status profiles, which are used to control the status of documents and objects in the system. Functionality: The BS02 transaction code allows users to define and maintain status profiles, which are used to control the status of documents and objects in the system. The status profile defines the possible statuses that can be assigned to a document or object, as well as the transitions between those statuses. The status profile also defines which users are allowed to change the status of a document or object. Step-by-step How to Use: 1. Enter transaction code BS02 in the command field. 2. Enter a name for the new status profile in the Profile Name field. 3. Select a Status Category from the drop-down list. 4. Enter a description for the profile in the Description field. 5. Select a Status Type from the drop-down list. 6. Select a Status Group from the drop-down list. 7. Select a Status Change Group from the drop-down list. 8. Click on “Save” to save your changes and create the new status profile. 9. To add statuses to your profile, click on “Status” in the menu bar and select “New Entries” from the drop-down list. 10. Enter a name for each new status in the Status Name field and select an icon for each one from the drop-down list. 11. To add transitions between statuses, click on “Transitions” in the menu bar and select “New Entries” from the drop-down list. 12. Select two statuses from the drop-down lists and click on “Save” to save your changes and create the transition between them. 13. To assign users who can change statuses, click on “Users” in the menu bar and select “New Entries” from the drop-down list. 14. Select a user from the drop-down list and click on “Save” to save your changes and assign them as an authorized user for this profile. 15. Click on “Activate” in the menu bar to activate your new status profile and make it available for use in your system. Other Recommendations: It is important to note that once you have created a status profile, you cannot delete it or make any changes to it without first deactivating it first, so be sure to double check all of your settings before activating it! Additionally, it is recommended that you create separate profiles for different types of documents or objects, as this will make it easier to manage them later on down the line.
